Sound man Jim Gibbons of AVS made a doorstep delivery in the middle of a snow storm for our afterparty at Sava’s. No pics from the party, but F.O.K.U.S. CRU came out in full force. Hands down my favorite crowd and venue to spin for. Felt just like a GREEN LIGHT affair.

Culture Of Creativity’s First Anniversary Party [12.21.10]

This is super late, but back in December I headed out to NY to spin at Culture of Creativity’s First Anniversary Party. Along with my man DJ OOO Child, we provided the sounds for C8’s celebration at Gallery Bar.

This was a real special event. C8 showcased their work and announced their upcoming project, a book that will compile all of their portraits and interviews from their Creative Faces campaign. It was a great turn out, and I got the chance to catch up with friends + family from U of M, RU, F.O.K.U.S., etc. Only in NY!

Salute to the Creatives for some truly inspiring work.

World Premier – Teddy Ruck-Spin “A Night Out” feat. Mae Day + GREEN LIGHT Recap [1.21.11]

For January’s edition of GREEN LIGHT, Miss Lady Soul and I called on R&B phenom Suai to bless the stage. Suai took control of Sava’s during her set and killed it with selections from her upcoming album, Almost Wrote You A Love Song.

To cap off the night, Miss Lady Soul made a special announcement about an upcoming project of mine…

In case you couldn’t tell from the clip… new TR-S mixtape coming soon! The tape, Treats, Vol. 1, is set to drop this Spring.

The first single, as featured in the video, is “A Night Out.”

“A Night Out” is a two part single featuring blends of Kanye West and Wale, as well as a special guest appearance by Mae Day.

This past Saturday, Miss Lady Soul and I hosted the first ever GREEN LIGHT at Sava’s State Street Café. The night began with a birthday tribute mix to Hova, and later featured MJ classics, N*E*R*D album cuts, etc.

We were thrilled with the outcome and vibe of the night… much love to everyone who came out!

Over the years, Miss Lady Soul and I have thrown some sick house parties. As time went on, we thought why not take it to a bigger stage? And what better place to do this than Sava’s, one of Ann Arbor’s finest restaurants and the host of F.O.K.U.S.’ 1992 themed party earlier this year.

We’ll be celebrating the first edition of GREEN LIGHT with a birthday tribute mix to Jay-Z, drink specials, and only the best in club music until 2 am.
